What a Waste!
Did you know Every year, more than 2 Million end-of-life hard hats need to be disposed of? Without the proper waste management, there is minimal chance that any of this waste is recycled into new, re-usable plastics. Non-Recyclable plastics end up landfills, taking more than 500 years to decompose, and can leak harmful pollutants and toxins into the earth.
The Good news is Hard Hats are completely recyclable and HAZCHEM are here to help with it.

HAZCHEM have teamed up with YES RECYCLING , a UK Plastic Recycling Specialist Company, to bring to you THE NATIONAL HARD HAT RECYCLING SCHEME. An easy way to send your end-of-life hard hats to be fully recycled into new Polymer Pellets, the Raw Material for manufacturing Plastic.
This All-Inclusive Membership Scheme available directly with YES Recycling makes disposing of bulky hard hats, convenient and Planet-Friendly, with Disposal Documentation sent directly to you, so that you can be confident that your old hard hats will not be wasted or damage the earth.
What will happen to my hard hats?
The UK based YES Recycling facility, disposes of your hard hat components, whilst recovering all of the plastic material. This is then processed into new plastic pellets, which can be used as a raw material to make new products, all right here in the UK.
Sending is easy
Just like sending a parcel, simply pop your end-of-life hard hats into a box or boxes, with the completed ‘Sender’s Details Form’ (Download Below), attach the ‘Address Label’ (also downloadable below) and send with your selected Courier.
Do you have more than a few boxes worth of hard hats? You can send those easily too! Just arrange a courier pick up from your facility, supply them with the ‘Sender’s Details Form’ and ‘Address label’ as a Delivery Note, and wave goodbye to your old hard hats!
Please Note: In using this scheme, your Membership will be directly with YES Recycling. The labels and sending form below must be used and all correspondence will be direct with YES Recycling, not Hazchem Safety.
Net Zero Heroes
You may think this sort of specialist recycling will need to be shipped far away, but actually the entire process is completed in the UK, so you can continue to keep your carbon footprint small.
Recycle and Show It
The YES Membership also includes Licensed use of the ‘We Recycle Our Hard Hats’ Logo, which you can apply to your Web and Print Content, so you can proudly show your individual efforts to Recycle and Reuse.

The small fee for this Scheme covers the responsible efforts made to recycle this Specific Waste type with YES, and the convenience of making a difference to our planet.
Membership covers all your sites and is priced depending on your workforce size.
